Toddlers
At Kids at Heart, we believe toddlers need a large, safe environment to explore and learn with. We believe this learning occurs best when the children have several age appropriate activities available to them.
Your toddler’s day is still planned around his/her schedule, but with more structure integrated into the day. Teachers will develop and implement daily activity plans emphasizing both individual and group activities for growth and development.
Please make sure the Director thoroughly covers these points with you....
• Staff-Child ratio of 1:5
• Posted weekly lesson plans
• You need to bring: several changes of clothes suitable for the current weather; special blanket for nap time
• ***Please remember to clearly mark all items brought from home***
• Before beginning “potty training” please discuss the techniques with your Child’s teacher or the Director
•Feel free to discuss any concerns with your child’s teacher of the Director

6:30-8:00 Center time
8:00-9:00 Children choose from a variety of activities that enhance development
9:00-9:15 Snack; Custodial care
9:15-10:00 Developmental activities; Circle time
10:00-10:45 Outside time
10:45-11:00 Theme-based activity; Story time
11:00-11:15 Custodial care
11:15-11:45 Lunch
11:45-3:00 Naps; Quiet time; Custodial care
3:00-3:30 Snack
3:30-4:00 Outside time
4:00-4:15 Custodial care
4:15-6:30 Center time
