Food
Kids at Heart furnishes toddlers and preschool children with a nutritious lunch, as well as two snacks per day. All menus are prepared to meet the daily nutritional requirements of preschoolers and are pre-approved by the State of Kansas. Menus are posted on the parent information board. Parents whose children have special food needs or allergies should discuss the menu with the Director. Please do not bring food from home. Arrangements can be made with your child’s teacher or the Director if you would like to provide a snack for a birthday party or special event. All food at Kids at Heart must be peanut free.

Our goal is to foster communication of expectations and concerns to help us maintain the quality you expect so we may have parent meetings occasionally for feedback.
Curriculum
Kids at Heart utilizes a popular curriculum among preschools called Creative Curriculum. The curriculum philosophy is based on the fact that young children learn best by doing and children will learn through play. It also identifies goals in social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

This handbook will familiarize you with our policies and procedures. Kids at Heart is licensed by the State of Kansas and meets or exceeds all rules and regulations.
